How does the DolphinGPT work?

A special interest GPT, like the DolphinGPT, is an advanced AI tool specifically designed for providing detailed answers and insights from a domain-specific corpus of documents. Here’s a simplified process flow of how it works:

  1. Document Upload: Users or system administrators upload a variety of documents into the system. These could be texts, research papers, whitepapers, or any other documents relevant to the particular interest field.
  2. Processing Documents: Once the documents are uploaded, they undergo processing with a language model called Chatlang. This model breaks down the documents into smaller, more digestible chunks. This segmentation aids in ensuring better precision when finding relevant data to respond to inquiries.
  3. Generating an Index: After the documents are broken down into manageable chunks, they are indexed using Pinecone, a vector database. Vector representations of the chunks are created and stored in this index. Each vector effectively represents a summary of the knowledge within the associated chunk.
  4. Processing Query Requests: When a user submits a question or a request for information, the system processes this input into a vector representation using the same methods that were used to index the documents.
  5. Matching Query to Chunks: The system uses the generated vector from the user’s query to search the Pinecone vector database. It looks for the most similar vectors, which correspond to the chunks most relevant to the user’s query.
  6. Generating Responses: The matching chunks are then provided to ChatGPT 4.0. The AI model, equipped with its advanced language understanding and generation capabilities, utilizes these chunks to generate a cohesive, comprehensive answer to the user’s query.

Overall, a special Interest GPT offers a sophisticated solution for detailed, accurate information retrieval and response generation, leveraging AI technologies to understand and reply to users’ inquiries in the most relevant and insightful manner possible.
